Riverfront Park is one of the major parks in Wenatchee. It stretches for over a mile, starting at the Orondo Street Boat Launch near Pybus Public Market in the south to about Ninth Street or the Linden Tree Area.
When the town’s Apple Blossom Festival comes in the spring, it is Riverfront Park that is home to the carnival. There are also several sculpture pieces peppered through the park that serve as an extension from the Sculpture Garden on the south end of the park. Riverfront Park is close to some shopping and dining options too.
There are plenty of seating options in Riverfront Park too. This is the perfect place for a lunch away from work, a short stop during a walk or ride, or a full picnic experience. There is a lot of history at Riverfront Park too. The place was once called Sternwheeler Park prior to the early 1970s and was the site where riverboats on the Columbia would stop in Wenatchee.
Riverfront Park is one of the many essential stops along the Apple Capital Loop Trail.
