The Apple Capital Loop Trail is one of the top attractions in the Wenatchee area. This isn’t because it’s flashy. This isn’t because it’s action packed. This is because it’s got something for everyone.
The Apple Capital Loop Trail stretches for well over 10 miles in length and covers both the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee side of the Columbia River. On the Wenatchee side you will find boat launches, a state park, playground toys, softball fields, a sheltered swim area, large sculptures, a miniature railway, a nature area, and more. On the East Wenatchee side of the river the trail winds more, passes through large amounts of undeveloped area, and ventures through an impressive wetland and wildlife area itself. Plus, if you do the whole trail, you get to enjoy crossing the Columbia River twice.
There are a lot of ways to get out on the Apple Capital Loop Trail too. Whether you’re going around the entire trail, just doing one side of the river, or just a short stroll, you are not limited to just walking. Many people get out and make use of the trail while they go bicycling, roller blading, jogging, and more. Don’t underestimate the fun you can have walking it though. If you are visiting the Wenatchee area and want to get out and enjoy the outdoors without leaving town, the Apple Capital Loop Trail can make it happen.
